Why Bonds Are A Buy And Everybody Had It Wrong In December of last year more than 70% of Wall Street economists polled said that the interest rate on the 10-year Treasury note will end the year at 3.2% to 3.5%.  Not one  said the yield would be lower than 2.90% and not one said it would be higher than 4.10%.  Goldman Sach’s estimate was for a 3.25% yield by year-end.
